Hello World!

Hello Everyone!
So to begin, the Primary kids have all decided to call Sister Heugly “Sister Hug” because they can’t pronounce her name. It’s super cute πŸ™‚ They’ve also been teaching us how to do the WHIP//NAENAE dance. #ImHip

MONDAY I converted Sister Heugly to Panera. We walked Grand River (the strip across from the MSU campus), and did some window shopping. We met some YSA converts while we out and about, and they fell in love with us! “You girls ain’t traditional! Can we get some clones?! I didn’t know Sister Missionaries could wear cheetah print!” πŸ˜€
We had dinner with the Elders at a young family that moved into our ward. I actually was in primary with her when I lived in the Holt Ward!

TUESDAY we had our first lesson with Kahley (Amanda’s daughter) and she told us she decided 2 days ago that she wants to be baptized! She is now on date for October 24th and Amanda is making a goal to take her genealogy to the temple on October 23rd, so hopefully we will be able to accompany her for that πŸ™‚
We also had a lesson with the Perez family that night and the spirit was so strong (as always). President is going to try to get some Spanish Speaking missionaries to come help us with lessons. The concern right now with them is longevity in the church because there isn’t an existing Spanish speaking branch nearby :/

WEDNESAY we had interviews with President and he couldn’t stop laughing because he thinks I’m getting a taste of my own medicine πŸ˜€ #SisterHeuglyIsAWESOME #MeAtTheBeginningOfMyMission #FIREBALL Then we got locked out of our apartment for 4 hours….

THURSDAY we weekly planned and visited one of my favs, Sister Kruger. We practice taught the Restoration to her and she told Sister H she has a glow about her that really brought the spirit. I think she really needed to hear that πŸ™‚
Our new District Leader Elder Dunn invited us to apply what Elder Anderson taught a few weeks ago on teaching and learning from the mind, heart, and spirit. (The WHAT, WHY, AND HOW)
FRIDAY we got a call during Personal Studies from a woman I had door knocked into back in August. She was going through some stuff and wanted us to come visit her. We taught her the Plan of Salvation and she ate it right up! She actually made her son come listen! πŸ˜€ Unfortunately, she moved out of our ward boundaries, so we had to give her to a different set of missionaries :/ She was pretty sad about that as well.

SATURDAY we watched General Conference at the church with the Meridian and Holt Elders and then all went out to lunch at Texas Roadhouse and they all had way too much fun πŸ˜‰ Hopkins birthday party/dinner to end the night πŸ™‚ #lovethatfamily

SUNDAY we watched General Conference at Sister Kelley’s. I thought it was great! We had a lesson with Huiqing in between sessions. I’m worried she’s meeting with us more for secular learning. She’s β€œtoo busy” to keep commitments. :/

I will leave you with a scripture that many of you will feel describes me perfectly!

2 Corinthians 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

Have a blessed week!
Love, Sister Harrison ❀
