Hi Family and Friends,
Well, Monday we met the new Sister in our District-Sister Rogers! I really clicked with her!
We went bowling and I slipped and fell pretty hard! They thought I had a concussion but I didn’t thank goodness. I had trade offs with Sister Ellertson at MSU Monday-Tuesday and campus was pretty dead with all the students gone for the holidays!
Wednesday we had our 1/2 Mission Christmas party in Mt. Pleasant and that was pretty cool. I tried meeting all the new missionaries we’ve gained in our mission in the past few months- there has been a ton! There was a neat talent show and games (videos will be post in a few weeks), and we had a member have us over in the evening to play Christmas carols on the ukulele.
Thursday we went to a open house and had dinner with a few families. Elder Dunn read us “Uncle Si, Christmas elf” before we went to bed. Friday we got to Skype our families, and I’d say that was the highlight of the day! The Bishop and his wife hosted us for breakfast.
Saturday was weird because Christmas was over, but people weren’t home! We talked to one person in 3 hours! But we picked up a potential- she was a teenager who’s family just moved in two days a go and had met with missionaries in the past! Then we helped Sister Kelley bake and prepare for her primary lesson that we volunteered for on Sunday. We had dinner at the Held’s this Sabbath day accompanied by the Elders and played Bingo, which I think made Sister Held’s day. 😀
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
Love, Sister Harrison
